Brotherhood:
In a very real sense, the Fraternity creates a family relationship among its members. It aims to bring together a group of young men who will be congenial, loyal, and helpful to one another during some of the best years of their lives, the college years. Following this idea Lambda Chi Alpha offers its members the nearest possible equivalent to home that can be found on the college campus, and these close ties often bind men in friendships for life.

Philanthropy:
Lambda Chi Alpha works hard to give back to the community. Whether it is with our national Philanthropy, the North American Food Drive where we raised more than 7,600 pounds of food in one day, with our Mr. Pro-Teen Body Building Contest that raised more than $1,000 to increase awareness about domestic violence against teenagers, or our many small monthly events that directly benefit the greater San Diego area, we strive to care for those around us.

Equality: Lambda Chi Alpha was the first fraternity to abolish pledging and hazing when Associate Membership replaced pledging in 1972. Since that time, Associate Members have had full and equal rights in the chapter, including voting privileges and the ability to hold office, attend all meetings and functions, and wear the letters and regalia of the Fraternity. Additionally, Lambda Chi Alpha places the equality of all men to the forefront of our minds with our open motto “Vir Quisque Vir” which means “Every Man a Man.”
Values: We strive daily to live up to our high values of: Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Service and Stewardship, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage. These combined with our open mottos “Vir Quisque Vir” translated “Every Man a Man” and “Kalepa ta Kala” which means “naught without labor” are our sources of inspiration to daily life. A Lambda Chi Alpha knows that every person should be treated with the fullest amount of respect and one must work hard to achieve greatness.
Education: The Lambda Chi Alpha True Brother program is the most innovative and compelling program developed by any fraternity. Not only does it teach both brothers and Associate Members the history and values of Lambda Chi Alpha, but how to be a true brother and an honorable man. This is done by teaching our core values, and the concept that to be a true brother a man must first be a Faithful Steward, Servant Leader, Leader of Character, and a Lifetime Brother. Unlike other fraternities, Lambda Chi Alpha has a continued education program that continues after a man becomes a brother and even continues into Alumni education programs. Finally, our education program includes practical education sessions that are both internal (history, ritualism, risk management, goal setting, recruitment skills, etc.) or external (study skills, current topics, alcoholism, date rape, CPR, resume building, networking skills, etc.). All of this creates a well rounded and informed individual ready for any and all challenges presented to him.
